It helps me to have a tangible representation of the prayers and reiki that I am sending to people I hold dear. On the beach, there seem to be endless reminders that the source of all life and love is flowing through all beings and connecting our spirits. Our prayer tree is available 24/7 in the chapel for people to light candles to reflect our deepest hopes and remind us that darkness and light walk hand in hand.
In the Christian tradition, we celebrate the sacraments as “outward signs of God’s inner grace,” so that we can experience the Holy One’s blessings in our lives. We celebrated our first official Communion Service last week, which was extraordinarily moving. The pastor of the congregation who gifted us our altar was present at the retreat, and I used the Communion set given to me by my dear Uncle Jim, who was a Roman Catholic priest and fully support my ordination (yes, he was wicked cool!) The Spirit’s flowed among us and my heart sang with gratitude for this moment of grace.
