During times of transition and all the uncertainty that comes with them, many people can become overwhelmed by painful feelings and confusing thoughts. Through a process of holy listening, spiritual direction invites you to share your experiences and emotions with no filters or attempts to clean-up the messiness of life. By listening to your story and exploring where we see the Divine at work in your life, it is my privileged to accompany you as you take the next steps on your spiritual path.

and now some logistics
Location of sessions
Creating a safe place to have intentional conversations is essential for spiritual direction. I offer sessions over the phone, on Zoom, and in-person. I am fully vaccinated and see in-person clients in my home office, located on a beautiful cranberry bog on Cape Cod and at Limina Renewal Center in Maine. We can also take a walk, meet at a local park, or any other mutually agreeable location.
Shape of the spiritual direction session
At the beginning of our session, we’ll spend a couple of minutes checking in, have a few minutes of silence and an opening prayer. Then we may explore any area where the Spirit leads you. As you share what’s on your mind and heart, we’ll listen for the presence of the Divine. Together we will look for the moments of grace breaking through life’s hardships and distractions. The session ends with a blessing, and a time to check in about scheduling future sessions.
Confidentiality
Spiritual directors are ethically bound to confidentiality. This helps clients feel safe and to share what is on their hearts and minds. However, as an ordained minister, I am required by law to report any and all suspected child, teen, “at-risk” adult, or elder abuse. Also, if a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person(s), I must notify the police and the intended victim. Finally, if a client is in danger of committing suicide, together the client and I will work to be sure that a safety plan is in place and has the help they need.

Fees
Individual spiritual direction sessions are $75 per session. Payment can be made by Paypal, Venmo, or Zelle prior to the session. The scheduling system will offer links to pay upon booking a session also in the reminder email. If you have limited financial resources, please contact Libby to discuss a reduction in the fee.
