Ayurvedic Bliss 2027 Winter Nourishing Retreat

With Kristen Timchak and Erik Jackson, AHC

January 29 - February 2, 2027

“Winter reminds me that everything needs to rest and retreat to its roots.” ~ Lisa Rowell

Winter is a time of darkness, hibernation and deep rest.  Join us as we honor the energy of the season with Ayurveda and Yoga.   This retreat is not a cleanse, but geared toward nourishment and rest.

The weekend will begin with an opening circle and Yoga Nidra practice to welcome you into the space. This invitation to deep rest will continue throughout the weekend.

Each full day you will receive a 90 minute Ayurvedic body treatment aimed at calming, grounding and nourishing Vata Dosha (the air and space elements).

There will be daily yoga and movement offerings as well as three educational classes: “Ayurveda 101: Exploring the Doshas”, “Digestion and the Six Tastes” and “Cultivating Ojas: Vibrancy and Immunity”.

Daily offerings will include:

  • Teaching sessions on each dosha, food, and lifestyle
  • Movement classes with yoga and somatic work, including therapeutic postures
  • Breath work
  • 1.5 hours of body work each day, including a customized combination of massage, body oiling, steam, etc.
  • All meals
  • Access to all of Limina’s amenities, including sauna, biomat, and walking trails
Meals

Meals are simple, warm, and prepared with care to nourish the body while giving the digestive fire a chance to reset. A quiet myth we’re happy to lay to rest: Ayurvedic food is not strictly vegetarian, and it is not exclusively Indian. It is a way of eating calibrated to constitution, season, and digestion.

Our kitchen honors that breadth. The heart of the table is kitchari, the classical preparation of basmati rice and mung dal. Alongside it we serve ancient grains such as quinoa, nourishing soups, gently cooked seasonal fruits and vegetables, and thoughtfully sourced eggs and meats when the body calls for grounding and building. Spice combinations shift through the retreat, but the intention throughout is clean, food that supports digestion and steadies the mind. All meals are cooked with ghee. Please share any dietary needs in advance.
