As we work with the furniture that conveyed (thankfully 90% of what’s in the house), Bill and I have had great fun meeting local artists and crafts-people who bless Limina with their creations. Previously, we shared the gorgeous painting “Grace” that was revealed through Joanne Parent, and this week we were THRILLED to welcome the console table for the front hall. We met its creator – Chris Kein – at a fund-raising event last fall. We love our dining room table on Cape Cod that is made with a live edge, and wanted to bring that same beauty to Limina. Chris had donated a beautiful end table to the auction, and we approached him to ask about live-edge console tables. We collaborated on size and choice of wood (yellow birch and walnut), and then Chris worked his magic. The grid shows photos of the progress as Chris made the table. Chris used a special wax and oil rub on the top because he wanted us (and you) to be able to feel the energy of the tree when we touch the table. When you come to Limina, we can’t wait to give you a tour of the treasures that will greet you.
