On April 8, 2024 central Maine will be in the path of totality for the solar eclipse. Join us for a very special retreat where we combine reflections on the spirituality of light and dark, with curated hikes at exquisitely beautiful locations in mid-Coast Maine. Participants should be able to hike up to 3 miles, and comfortable in a variety of weather conditions.
To view the eclipse, we will travel to the mountains near Baxter State Park where the duration of totality will be nearly 3 minutes. We will summit at a vantage point with views of Mount Katahdin, and conclude our hike at Knife Edge brewery.
DATES: The retreat begins Friday April 5th at 5 pm and concludes on Tuesday April 9th at 1 pm. We will hike on Saturday and Sunday, either morning or afternoon, so there is plenty of unstructured time to use all of Limina’s amenities such as the sauna, biomat, walking by the ocean, observing the sunrise/sunset. Monday we will be gone the whole day for the eclipse hike.
Spiritual direction sessions are available at the beginning of the retreat and then a daily check-in is offered. Reiki, massage and other healing arts will also be available for an additional charge.
FEES: We offer different levels of room rates to suit a variety of budgets. Scholarships are also available. For one person, a four-night stay ranges from @ $790 – $1660 depending on the room and rate chosen. All meals, transportation to the hikes, and materials are included.
