With the first “official” retreat six weeks away, Bill & I spread the word that we would like to host a few groups who were willing to be our guinea pigs. As an aside, we had guinea pigs for years, and they lived like furry kings and queens, so being our guinea pigs really isn’t so bad! Anyway, a friend celebrated a birthday last weekend and ten friends joined the merriment. Our hearts SANG to hear Limina full of conversation, laughter, prayer, singing, and the awed silence of watching the sunrise. Our friends generously shared their time in building the sauna, walking trails, a cabinet, and tackling the dust in the basement. They showed us tripping hazards, sinks that didn’t completely turn off, and hallways that were super dark at night. Most importantly, they showered us with love and support – and prepared scrumptious feasts – to keep us going. We are forever grateful for their contributions to the start of Limina.
