Last weekend, I was thrilled to return to Shrine Mont as the women’s retreat leader for Church of the Holy Comforter in Vienna. It had been ten years since I left, but other than a few extra gray hairs in the room, it felt like no time had passed. What a joy to be among such a loving, supportive, and faithful women as we explored living with change and transition in our lives. No matter whether the change was past, ongoing, or anticipated, the women shared with open hearts and we learned so much from the wisdom of the group. In addition to worshipping in the outdoor Shrine, we hiked, napped, shared stories on the porches, made paper lanterns, created flower mandalas, and ate the worlds best fried chicken. I can’t wait to share some of these materials with groups at Limina.
